vrfy.lol is a free email validation API. By using it, you agree to the following terms.
Acceptable use
Use the API for legitimate email validation purposes: form submission checks, list hygiene, deliverability assessment. Do not use it to:
- Harvest or enumerate email addresses
- Probe addresses without a legitimate reason to validate them
- Circumvent rate limits or proof-of-work requirements
- Resell raw API output as a competing service
Rate limits
Requests are rate-limited per IP. Proof-of-work challenges may be issued during high traffic. Attempting to bypass these mechanisms may result in temporary or permanent blocking.
No warranty
The service is provided as-is, with no guarantees of accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. Email validation is inherently probabilistic — results should inform decisions, not replace them.

Availability
We may modify, rate-limit, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. For guaranteed availability, self-host from the open-source repo.

The vrfy.lol source code is available under the MIT License. The service itself (hosted at vrfy.lol) is subject to these terms.
